On CD, here's a reisue of the sole album by Oliver Chaplin, originally released in 1974. This work of peculiar genius was recorded on a farm in rural Wales without a thought to commercial considerations. Featuring biting psychedelic guitar work and a range of production effects (courtesy of Oliver's brother Chris, an engineer who'd worked on the BBC's Jimi Hendrix sessions), the material melds Delta-inspired blues with mind bending acid folk.
