Popis - ALBUMEN:
Just as the word “eggnoise” combines exemplary order with chaos, the music of eggnoise mixes sophisticated musical composition with punk drive and spontaneity. The band was formed around 1994 in Prague, Czech Republic, and has been developing in every way ever since. The trajectory of its passing through such styles as grunge, punk, rock, jazz and pop is guided by a centrifugal tendency. It is not possible to remain in one place and yet it is no more possible to leave old territories. Eggnoise's new cd ALBUMEN demonstrates this centrifugal tendency well, being itself an explosion of styles and heterogeneous approaches to music. The band has already released two albums. The first, named WHAT A WORLD, came out in 2003 on the Columbia label and received a nomination for the best jazz and blues album by the Czech Academy of Popular Music. Whereas the first album has a mainly acoustic character, ALBUMEN incorporates modern sounds and effects. On this album eggnoise collaborated with top Czech and Slovak producers and musicians such as Martin Gaspar, Peter Binder, Daniel Salontay, Vladimir Pecha, Dusan Lipert and Jaromir Honzak. The whole album is in fact a great experimental project, as each song was recorded in a different place, a different time and with a different producer and guests. This gives the album a uniquely variable sound and even style. This plurality of musical approaches was then reunited in a single mixing and mastering studio by the award-wining sound engineers Tomas Zubek and Ondrej Jezek. The album is hard to describe but guaranteed to keep you on your guard at all times. It is being released on the band's own label. Eggnoise are also appreciated for their live act by audiences around Europe, as their concerts are always unique and full of energy and humour. They have performed with such artists as dEUS, the Levellers and Longital.
