After his solo album 'Transit' met acclaim, 'Safe' is the second album Bert Dockx (Dans Dans, Flying Horseman, Ottla, Strand) releasing under his own name. This collection of songs and instrumentals navigates between threat and dream, between silence and storm. Unlike 'Transit', 'Safe' mainly consists of original work and has only two interpretations of tracks by The Velvet Underground and Ornette Coleman. This time Dockx is accompanied by Loesje and Martha Maieu (Flying Horseman, Blackie & The Oohoos) and Thomas Jillings (Ottla, Linus). An intriguing mix of folk, psychedelia, ambient, introverted guitar rock and shaded jazz. Colourful vistas are contrasted with gloomy introspection.
