DOPE STARS INC. are above all the musically realised version of William Gibson?s ?Neuromancer?, Neal Stephenson?s ?Snow Crash? and in terms of their sound, the further development of films such as ?Bladerunner?. They show us the world how it is. Dirty, shimmering, full of neon glare and beautiful light. But between all the superficialities are concealed feeling, but above all furious, rebels who tear down the boundaries and defy all categorisation: and all the while still damn young, loud and sexy. The album also shouldn?t be without a few sensitive love songs. And just as SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK once celebrated ?21st Century Boy?, DOPE STARS INC. really have become symbols of the new era.
