FRANCESCO CHEBAT, pianist and composer, was born in Trento (Italy) in 1978. He graduated in piano at Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, where he also studied Composition. He attended several seminars and courses mainly focused on jazz music with Tino Tracanna, Giovanni Tommaso, Larry Monroe, Dino Govoni and others. In 2006 he graduated in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. He works both with Italian and foreign musicians and actors (Gianluigi Trovesi, Attilio Zanchi, Marco Castiglioni, Tino Tracanna, Stefano Bertoli, Sergio Orlandi, Marco Gotti, Martha J., Roberto Piccolo, Gianni Satta, Maxx Furian, Marco Gamba, Guido Bombardieri, Paolo Tomelleri, Emilio Soana, Dudu Kwateh, Beppe Aliprandi, Marcos Vinicius, Carlo Bagnoli, Marcello Noia, Walter Ganda, Francesco D'Auria, Riccardo Fioravanti, Ney Portilho, Riccardo Vigor?, Ettore Fioravanti, Carol Sudhalter, Michael Supnick, Vanni Stefanini and many others). He played for “Piccolo Teatro di Milano” and he performed in many theatres, jazz festivals and clubs such as Blue Note in Milan, Brianza open jazz festival, Lario jazz festival. In 2007 he releases his first CD, 'Imprinting', with Attilio Zanchi (double bass) and Marco Castiglioni (drums). This work has received excellent reviews and showed his skills both as a pianist and as a composer: all the tracks of the CD are written by Chebat, who choose the traditional acoustic trio as the best way to perform his music With Gianni Satta (trumpet), Francesco founded the band “Tutu” inspired by the famous Miles Davis's album. With “Tutu trio” Francesco plays synthesizers and the sound of this trio is full of electric influences. A new album is coming soon. He works with vocalist Martha J. as pianist and arranger. In 2008, they produced and released two CDs: “That’s it” (with Roberto Piccolo on double bass and Stefano Bertoli on drums) and “No one but you” (voice and piano). He approached Argentina and its culture first with 'Café con Pan', with actor Valerio Bongiorno, then in 'Storie di Tango ensemble' with Martha J. and Daniele Donadelli (accordeon). He appears with actor Valerio Bongiorno in 'Numbert, il passeggero del secolo' a theatre monologue with solo piano live music, performed in many theatres in north Italy. He played in the Vanni Stefanini trio, a Latin rhythms specialist drummer. This trio, with Attilio Zanchi on double bass, played at theBlue Note of Milan and in 2004 recorded a CD entitled 'Nobodyknows'.
