'In The Tower' represents the first long player from the V. Vecker Ensemble, a troupe of diverse musicians from Vancouver's underground, all led by musician, artist, and composer Keith Wecker (Sex Negatives, Emergency Room). Spread over both sides of the EP, 'In The Tower' builds its force from repetition, meditation, explosion and restraint. Wecker's inspiration for the ensemble originates from his participation in Glenn Branca's 'Symphony No. 13: Hallucination City' in 2008, and Anthony Braxton's 2010 'Sonic Genome Project', where large groups explore pieces that include composition and improvisation collectively.
