The album 'Noir Atlantique' is inspired by the concept developed in Paul Gilroy's novel 'The Black Atlantic' in which the Atlantic area is foreseen as a transnational space where black cultures developed throughout the slave trade. It brings back many little-known cultural links showing the constant circulation of music, an amalgam of multiple contributions. All this is close to the way Tonn3rr3 are conceiving and creating their music, a journey and a blend of instruments and genres.
