Popis - SUDDEN RAIN:
Once described as 'progressive rock that is deeply serious and musical', Anxious Grace 'Sudden Rain' can be likened to '90's European theatre metal, modern arrangements, mixed with classical skill. Outstanding heavy guitar parts combined with beautiful string arrangements and meaningful lyrics, this is a unique record. The haunting female vocals have power and intent (Renee Tyler), then add the male vocal leads and backgrounds for grit and definition (Marty Vincelli). Each song has something to say. Recorded in Portland, Oregon, and San Francisco, CA (1992-1996). Artist Notes: Marty Vincelli: Guitarist, Recording Engineer, Songwriter, Vocals and Co-collaborator for Anxious Grace: Marty Vincelli spent many of his early years touring professionally as a Guitarist. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he toured abroad and along the West coast club circuit. He then moved to Portland, Oregon to team up with Renee Tyler to create, record, and co-produce Anxious Grace’s 'Sudden Rain'. Since that time, Marty worked as a live sound engineer in and around the Portland/Vancouver area, including regular sets at the legendary Satyricon, while continuing to perform as a guitarist. In 2007 Marty opened “Bighouse Recording Studios” in Vancouver, Washington. To date he has recorded and produced many records with several local and regional artists, receiving critical acclaim. Renee Tyler: Songwriter, Keyboardist, Vocals, Lyricist, Co-collaborator for Anxious Grace: Renee Tyler holds a Master’s degree in Music Composition. She spent her early music years learning traditional orchestration and composition, along with electronic & computer music, eventually working as an adjunct Professor of Music at University of Portland (Oregon). A lover of progressive rock, she teamed up with the exceptional guitarist, Marty Vincelli, working in Portland to create the Anxious Grace CD, “Sudden Rain”. She then moved to San Francisco and opened a recording studio (1993-2010), where she recorded and produced several bay area bands and solo artists. In 2010 Renee moved back to Oregon and has developed her own ProTools music composition and production studio, working on compositions for film and television.
